People here worry about the pollution of our rivers, littering, air pollution and noise.

I pledge to protect our nearby nature from ever increasing threats from unwanted developments like the one planned by the Church Commissioners at the former Bushfield Camp. This plan will harm the area that had been left alone for half a century. We will lose wonderful views and important habitats as well as space to walk and relax. It will create an extra 4000+ daily car journeys along Badger Farm Road towards Romsey Road and the M3. It is the wrong development for so many reasons.

Winchester needs to be much smarter when planning new developments!
I propose:
• Only build for our community and not for the profits of developers
• Develop only on real brownfield sites near the city centre
• Build communities that include housing, public services, employment, retail and leisure facilities

I have been a campaigner to improve accessibility of Badger Farm Road junctions for many years. Plans have now been made. Now we need to get on to implement these.
I want to see more and better bus connections connecting Hursley, Compton, Olivers Battery and Shawford with Winchester reliably so that people who can’t drive their own car are not isolated.

I am excited to see how the new cycle buses to Olivers Battery school have grown over the last 2 years. Such a great way to start a school day! I’ll help to get more of these established to every school in our ward.
