Alex was born and raised in Streatham and became a dedicated local campaigner in the area.

He served on Lambeth Council as a councillor before working for the Lib Dems as Vince Cable's chief of staff.

Alex has campaigned on a wide variety of local issues, like:

• Saving the Thameslink service to Streatham and Tulse Hill,
  • Stopping the closure of Streatham Library,
  • Renovating Streatham High Road with paving stones and trees.

This by election is going to be close. Alex and his team have been out knocking on hundreds of doors and meeting residents since the by election was called and it is very clear people are annoyed that they have been let down by the Greens and forced into having another election so soon after May 7.

Not only could this by election cost tax payers around £25,000*, it will also force many residents into once again having to arrange childcare because their school needs to operate as a polling station. This isn't fair and something needs to be done so it doesn't happen again.
