Full statement

Nick says “It is a privilege to be selected to stand in Battle Hill. I will fight to ensure that local residents are not just heard, but will actually have a real say in how their council is run. A vote for me will be a vote for revitalising local democracy - no more small group decisions behind closed doors.

A clear priority for me is the current climate emergency, which is a huge challenge that we must rise to meet at all levels, but the Greens are not a single issue party – we have a range of policies to ensure a fairer and more equitable society for all.

The Tories cannot realistically win in Battle Hill, and one strong Green voice on our council will mean so much more than yet another Labour body toeing the party line – I hope that you will give me your support in May’s elections.”
