Statement to voters
You will, no doubt, have heard the Prime Minister has called a General Election.
Full statement
The date is set for Thursday the 4th of July.
For some of you this will be very welcome, for others it will be met with trepidations, and for some "not another one!" will spring to mind!
I must admit, I do feel for my wife. As we were due to go for a ‘staycation’ to Southend for our 5 year wedding anniversary this weekend, but with the anniversary gift of a General Election given to us by the Prime Minister, we have cancelled our plans and I’m going to have to do some serious making it up to her! But in this short campaign, delivering for Hinckley and Bosworth is my priority and I will be out every day doing exactly that!
