Granville says: "The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity and we believe that each generation is responsible for the fate of our planet.

"Having lived in the town for almost all of the time since I moved here at the age of 6, I want to join the Liberal Democrat group on Southend City Council to build on the great work that they're already doing to enhance our City-by-the-Sea. I am particularly focused on our river and sea-side communities and environment from Two Tree Island to Shoeburyness."
