Statement to voters

My name is Peter Fortune, and I am standing to be your next Conservative London Assembly Member for Bexley and Bromley in May 2021.

Full statement

I grew up in Lambeth and moved to Bromley in 2008, where I live with my wife, who works as a teacher, and my two children. I worked for a national media company before founding and building my own consultancy business in 2016.

For the past ten years, I have served as a local councillor in the London Borough of Bromley. Since 2015, I have held the Portfolio for Children, Education and Families, and in 2017, I became Deputy Leader of the Council.

Now, I’m fighting to keep Bexley and Bromley safe, protect our green spaces and help our local businesses bounce back.

Bexley and Bromley get a terrible deal from City Hall. Under Sadiq Khan, neither borough has received the police officers, mayoral funding or transport investment they need.

We need more police officers to get criminals off our streets, a better bus service from Transport for London, and an end to zone 1 thinking in City Hall. That’s why I am standing to be your next Conservative London Assembly Member.

If you elect me in May 2021, I will be a strong voice for you in the London Assembly. And I will fight to get Bexley and Bromley a better deal from City Hall.
