Statement to voters

Since 2015 I've fought tooth and nail for our steelworks, successfully campaigned to keep Junction 41 open, and persuaded the UK government to scrap plans to build a prison in Baglan.

Full statement

My team and I have resolved over 13,500 individual constituent cases, from housing to law & order issues, and I've held eight annual funding fairs that have helped 800 people representing 250 community groups. I also campaigned for the winning Celtic Freeport bid that will create thousands of well-paid jobs in our area by putting Port Talbot at the heart of the floating off-shore wind revolution.

If you put your trust in me I will continue to be an active local campaigner, and a strong national voice for Aberafan Maesteg.
