Statement to voters
I am honoured and proud to be your Councillor for Ashton and I am keen to continue working with our Labour Team to make Ashton an even better place to live.
Full statement
Preston City Council under Labour has worked to encourage local employers and core services such as the Royal Preston Hospital and the University to build the local economy by using local Preston people and firms, helping to link local business and service providers to build prosperity.
Labour takes environmental issues seriously, locally and nationally. Having good utility services and ensuring that companies like United Utilities provide the services WE all pay for.
In this time of financial difficulty for so many we must ensure that we have good roads free from potholes, and good public transport.
I consider it a great privilege to represent Ashton on a Council that does something practical about local problems.
