Statement to voters
Luton is my home and I love it.
Full statement
From railways to healthcare to policing, the country needs a lot of fixing. A Labour government will oversee a decade of national renewal to get the UK back on track.
In five years as Luton North's MP, I successfully campaigned for lifts at Leagrave station, supported hundreds of local small businesses, proposed laws on miscarriage bereavement leave and fireworks regulation, voted for tougher knife crime laws and a ceasefire in Gaza. I have answered over 20,000 individual calls for help. If re-elected I will continue to put Luton North first.
Luton North deserves a government that will work for us, bringing bills down, tackling antisocial behaviour and fixing the NHS. A vote for Labour will help achieve this.
