He was first elected as the Member of Parliament for East Leeds in 2015.
He lives in East Leeds and his family has lived and worked in East Leeds for more than 100 years -- ever since arriving from Ireland looking for work.
He takes duty of being your Member of Parliament very seriously. That's why he promised not to take any second jobs and to hold regular and accessible advice sessions for local residents right across East Leeds. He has kept those promises.
Richard has helped thousands of local people in East Leeds facing tough times through no fault of their own.
