Statement to voters
As a Green Party member, I’m a strong supporter of both green issues and social justice.

I worked in Hulme for six years as an advice worker, when I must have helped at least a thousand residents with all kinds of problems, from homelessness, housing and debt to the criminal compensation scheme and benefits.
As a Hulme councillor, I’ll work just as hard on behalf of local people and the local community. My priorities will include tackling the rising cost of living by giving Manchester more affordable and energy-efficient homes and tackling climate change to create a healthier, cleaner city.
I’ll bring to my council work decades of experience on Manchester organisations, helping to manage: a local charity, a community association, a sports league, a members’ club and an environment network. I was a director of non-profit Hulme Community Computing and am a former Chair of Manchester City Council’s Environmental Forum.
