Statement to voters
James lives in Stratford, and works in the neighbouring ward as a teacher at St Bonaventure's School. He desperately wants to hold the 100% Labour council to account on issues such as construction noise, parking and recycling. Together with his Liberal Democrat colleagues in the ward, he has organised and delivered a petition against the council allowing construction late into the evening, early mornings and at weekends. He has completed Freedom of Information Requests to hold the council to account on misleading claims and regulations they use for parking fines. He is working hard in the community and is on the committee of the East Village Residents Association, and wants to fight for better recycling facilities and parking in the area.
