Richard has lived locally for thirty years and his daughters went to local state schools. He retired after a successful career in public service and has been Councillor for Sutton South for eight years. He was Mayor of Sutton in 2016, raising £26,000 for charity. He still finds time to play the trumpet in a Sutton concert band.
