Ruth Fabricant's policies
Statement to voters
I am a longstanding Beckenham resident.
Full statement
As a parent, grandparent, and teacher, I prioritise policies which promote the physical and mental wellbeing of all. I have campaigned against cuts to public services, and petitioned to ‘Save our Libraries’, ‘keep the Hunting Ban ’and for ‘20 mph speed limits outside schools and in places of need’, such as ‘cut through’ roads where cars zoom. I now urge the return of council funded crossing guards for ALL Bromley Borough schools. These safety measures will enable more children to take the healthier option of walking to school; reduce harmful emissions from ‘school run’ cars and stop hazardous parking outside schools. I am an active member of Friends of the Earth; CND; Bromley Trades Union Council and Stand Up To Racism. I celebrate diversity!
