Anna Smith's policies
Statement to voters
Anna’s proud to be the councillor in charge of Labour’s anti-poverty strategy, overseeing an annual grant of £1million to community groups working with those in need.
She’s also championed
• keeping Mill Road Bridge open to pedestrians
• installing the Romsey ‘R’ and the new Coop forecourt
• supporting Montreal Square residents fighting to keep their homes
• planting wildflower meadows and introducing zero chemical trials in city parks
• scrapping child funeral fees
Anna says “The most rewarding part of being a local councillor is dealing with the casework which is specific to individuals and families, like supporting residents with planning concerns, getting accessible showers fitted, or advising on a noise complaint.“
Anna is a proud British European and fully supports Daniel Zeichner MP’s fight to stop this Tory Brexit chaos.
