Statement to voters

I am an experienced local councillor who has served on Wychavon District Council since 2015.

Full statement

I am also an Evesham Town Councillor and am currently serving as Mayor of Evesham.

I run my own IT business, and have previously worked in media and retail. As someone who lives, works and shops in Evesham, I'm ideally placed to understand the concerns of local residents.

I'm married to Emma and we have three children, all of whom attend local schools.

Working together with colleagues and council officers, we have had some notable successes. These include:

Working together with colleagues and council officers, we have had some notable successes. These include

* Defending an appeal against the council's decision to refuse planning permission for the development of land to the north of Bretforton Road behind the Remembrance Hall.

* Correcting a long-standing error and reinstating the historic name of Pear Tree Lane.

* Ensuring that Evesham's fire and rescue provision was maintained at appropriate levels following the move to a new fire station.

* Working with town and parish councillors to deliver much needed New Homes Bonus investment in the Badsey community allotments and cemetery at Pear Tree Fields and the Evesham Lock Island project on the River Avon.

The four years since the previous local elections have seen an unprecedented set of circumstances. Brexit, Covid and the war in Ukraine have all had a massive impact on our local communities. As we continue our process of rediscovering the "new normal", it's absolutely essential that we work hard together as a team.

As your councillor, I remain committed to being open, honest and accessible to every resident. It doesn’t matter whether you contact me by phone, email, social media or even a good old-fashioned letter, I aim to be available and help in any way that I can.
