Statement to voters

I Live in Sale Central and work Sale Moor.

Full statement

I am honoured to have been chosen again as one of the three Conservative candidates to represent Sale Moor. We have a wonderful community in Sale Moor and I think there are many ways I can help improve the area for everyone.

That’s why, as your representative on the Council, I will be committed to working towards a better future for our community and making Sale Moor an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

My priorities will be : Investment in our infrastructure. Our local roads, drains and pavements are in urgent need of improvement, and I will work to make sure that our community's infrastructure is improved and meets the needs of all residents. I also have concerns about the potential risks of the Sale Moor Place Plan, which could lead to increased congestion in Sale Moor Village and along Northenden Road. I believe that we need to find a solution that better balances the needs of residents, local businesses, and the environment.

Low Council Tax and Fiscal responsibility – The Labour Council has seen council taxes greatly increase in the last five years. I understand that many residents are concerned, especially given increases in the cost of living. I will work hard to regain control of council spending whilst keeping council tax low.

Protect and improve our green spaces to ensure they remain a source of pride for our community. Our local parks and open areas are important for our physical and mental health, and I will work relentlessly to safeguard them for future generations to enjoy.

The current Labour administration has neglected key areas of our community, allowing them to fall into disrepair, with shoddy maintenance and inadequate cleaning services. As your Conservative candidate, I pledge to address these issues head-on and ensure our community's amenities are well-maintained and accessible.

I am passionate about improving Sale Moor and making it an even better place for you to live, work, and raise a family. By working together, we can achieve great things for our community. I humbly ask for your support in the upcoming election and should I be elected, I promise to work diligently and tirelessly on your behalf.

Thank you and please lend me your support on May 4th.
