Statement to voters
I came to Leeds to study in 2001 and have been here ever since. I live and work in LS6 and have been an active environmental campaigner for many years, including running the Healthy Air Leeds group.
If elected as the Green Party candidate for Leeds North East I'd expect to be actively involved in working in the constituency to improve the area for all of the residents.
The key concerns I'd aim to address for the ward if elected would be:
1. Improving public and active transport to reduce air pollution.
2. Protecting green spaces to maintain public areas to enjoy whilst respecting wildlife.
3. Promoting sustainable living to help Leeds North East become a low-carbon constituency.
This statement was added by Rachel Hartshorne, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
This candidate has previously stood for election in:
- 2019: The UK Parliament elections, as the Green Party candidate for the Leeds North East
- 2019: The Leeds local election, as the Green Party candidate for the Moortown
That's all we know! Will you help us find more about this candidate?
