Jemma De Vincenzo's policies
Statement to voters
Jemma moved to the borough 8 years ago, attracted by Reigate’s quaint high street and plentiful green spaces, and now calls it home with her husband and young son.
Full statement
An NHS clinician by day, Jemma has worked in education, health and youth services for many years and is tired of watching the Tory government tearing our systems apart locally and nationally. Jemma will fight to protect valuable services and be the voice of everyday people in Reigate, holding the Tory-led council accountable for their spending and decision-making.
Jemma's priorities are: -Protecting green spaces; reducing carbon emissions, improving greenery and biodiversity around our high streets and travel corridors whilst improving the green travel infrastructure (such as EV charging points, bike hire and cycle lanes); -Opposing the current plan to move Priory School to Woodhatch Place due to the dangers, traffic and environmental implications; -More local homes in our borough for local people, including affordable and social homes within developments that are placed in suitable locations; -Clamping down on inconsiderate parking including pavement parking; -Exploring causes behind increasing levels of litter and anti-social behaviour around Priory Park and our town centres; -Fighting cuts to local amenities such as family centres, libraries and care homes, and helping families fight for the Special Education Needs provision and carer support they deserve.
Remember, only a vote for the Lib Dems can knock the Conservatives off the top spot in Reigate Ward. Vote for a progressive candidate. Vote Liberal Democrat.
