I have lived most of my life in the constituency of Clwyd West attending primary school in Abergele and my first job was working on a hill farm in Cerrigydrudion.

I now live with my family in Llanrhaeadr and work as the Director of Services for a local mental health charity based in St. Asaph.
Throughout most of my working live I have campaigned and been the voice for people and groups within my locally and nationally.
Between 1999 and 2004 I successfully campaigned whilst working part-time for Infertility Network UK to persuade the Welsh Government to look at the post code lottery treatment for infertility. This resulted in IVF been available for couples throughout Wales
In 2001 after the Foot and Mouth outbreak whilst working for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution I visited farmers who were struggling to assess if they needed assistance due to the financial difficulties they were facing.
For the last 10 years I have worked in both Conwy and Denbighshire firstly as a front-line worker but now as Director of a mental health advocacy service helping people who struggle with mental health issues to speak up for themselves.
