The Chelmsford Labour and Essex Labour Party are delighted to announce that Stephen Capper has been selected as the Labour Party Candidate For the Stock Chelmsford City By- election for Stock, Margaretting and South Hanningfield and the Candidate for the Essex County Council By-election, for the division of Stock.

This includes the wider area of the Hanningfields, Rettendon and Sandon.

Stephen is a serving Headteacher and has extensive experience in state education as a Teacher and Headteacher in Primary and Secondary schools. Stephen has also been a Parliamentary Candidate, a local Chair of Governors and is a trustee at a local museum.

In response to being selected Stephen said:

“I am delighted to have been selected as the Labour Party candidate for the City and County By-elections for Stock, I am a local resident and have lived in the Chelmsford rural area for over 30 years. I feel Stock, Margaretting and South Hanningfield have been taken for granted and needs a new voice to strongly represent the whole community. There are a host of local issues ranging from road safety in Stock itself, to potholes and street conditions over the whole County Division. The problems of rural crime and the lack of decent bus services. I will be Campaigning on local issues and listening to local residents' opinions.”
