Iain McDonald's policies
Statement to voters
I am standing to end division and to focus on a positive contribution to the welfare of Dumfries and Galloway and Scotland.
I am a lifelong resident of Castle Douglas with 35 years experience as a solicitor dealing with all manner of problems people encounter in their lives and battling hard for solutions.
I am relatively new to political engagement but have been driven to stand up for those, who like me, are weary of the arguments and negativity at Holyrood stalling our country's progress. Many people have been encouraging me on this journey. In these times of Covid and climate change,we should be working together on positive progress not pulling ourselves apart or delaying fully focusing on these important issues nor diverting valuable and extensive resources to complex issues like the Constitution.
We must Put Recovery First.
