Statement to voters
I’m standing to represent you because I believe in real hope and real change.
Full statement
I’ve lived locally all my life – born in Cosby and a Whetstone resident since 1997. I first stood as a Green Party candidate in the Narborough & Whetstone division in 2021, and I’m proud to be standing again to offer voters a strong, independent voice focused on real solutions.
Our communities deserve better than traffic jams, unreliable buses, and streets that feel unsafe for walking and cycling. I’ve spent years campaigning for practical alternatives – better public transport, safe and accessible active travel routes, and smarter planning that puts people first. The best way to tackle congestion is to give people real, affordable alternatives to driving.
I also believe councils must be more transparent and accountable. You should know what decisions are being made, why they’re being made, and how you can shape them. I bring professional experience in delivering complex transformation projects – skills I’ll use to make local government work better for residents.
I’m standing as your Green Party candidate because I believe politics should work for everyone – not just the loudest or the wealthiest. If elected, I’ll work hard for you, your family and your future.
