Jeremy Gardner's policies
Statement to voters
I have been a St Mary's councillor since 2021 and have responded to and taken action where possible on issues raised by residents.
Full statement
As leader of the council since 2024 I have sought to turn the council around after years of failing to deliver on important projects for local people. We are taking pride in Adur and getting things done, such as finally finishing the Shoreham Flood Wall, which will be completed this year.
We’re supporting people with the cost of living, helping residents secure pension credit, reduced water bills, fuel vouchers and energy grants.
We’re delivering and improving homes, including urgently needed council homes
And we’re making Adur greener: planting over four thousand trees, no longer using diesel for our bin lorries, stopping the use of bee-harming herbicides, improving our parks and playgrounds and we will be iaunching a weekly food bin collection scheme that will see residents’ food waste recycled into fertiliser and energy.
