Statement to voters

I live in Probus with my family.

Full statement

Our village is welcoming, friendly and I feel truly at home in this part of Cornwall. Our villages have shown a wonderful sense of community, safety, sanctuary and compassion throughout this pandemic and I want to ensure that our rural communities do not get left behind by those in County Hall. I will be your voice in County Hall.

As a working mum and volunteer in the local community I understand what it takes to work hard for what really matters. I have worked in the charity and public sector for over 25 years and have helped thousands of people with a huge range of enquiries. Many of which will be queries that residents would approach their local councillor for, planning, potholes, parking and the odd bit of dog poo!

I worked for 10 years initially as a volunteer and ultimately as the Area Manager for mid Cornwall offices of Citizens Advice, Newquay, St Austell, and Truro. I have gained a huge wealth of experience in doing what I love - helping people and representing their needs and wishes to organisations and the council and challenging when they get it wrong. Everyone should feel they can call or email their local councillor and know they will be treated with respect and care and I can assure you I will do this for you.
