My 2 children grew up here and flourished in our local state schools. I have loved every moment of living in our vibrant town nestled amidst picturesque countryside. I have been Chair of Governors at a local junior school for 15 years and was a governor at a local infant school for 10 years. A keen footballer in my youth I spent 6 years as manager of my daughters local team. I am also a trustee for a local charity Kaleidoscopic, supporting survivors of domestic abuse. Serving as a Liberal Democrat councillor has been an immensely fulfilling journey, especially in my role within the children's services and education team. Witnessing the positive transformations in our neighbourhood and the meaningful impact on people's lives is really rewarding. My dedication to enhancing our community stems from a genuine passion for creating a better environment for families like mine to thrive. Building on the experiences of my first year as a councillor, I am keen to contribute even more effectively towards the betterment of Wokingham.
