I am an active member of the local community. I was a governor at my local primary and secondary schools.

As a retired Health Professional and former Parish Councillor, I understand how local government works and will put my knowledge and experience to good use. I was the Green Party candidate for Melksham and Devizes in the 2024 general election. During the election campaign I learnt what matters to Wiltshire residents and which issues (e.g. water quality, public transport, road safety, warm homes and housing) they would like to be addressed by their councillors.

It’s crucial that our local habitats and historic environment are protected. I regularly attend Wiltshire Council meetings to speak on important local topics such as travel and transport and protecting nature.To restore nature, I have volunteered to planted trees with Avon Needs Trees and plant new hedges for butterflies with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

I’m free to vote for what’s best for the area. The Green Party never tell their councillors how to vote. So, I can be an independent voice for The Lavingtons, putting residents and not party politics first.
