Isabel Harrison believes in fairness and equality of opportunity for all, with people’s issues being supported through local government, not through the central state.

Only by understanding people’s concerns at a local level and appointing passionate voices from within the community as their representatives can we make a difference and mend this ailing country.

As a Liberal Democrat and a Marathon runner, Isabel is appalled by the ongoing damage to our local environment, most clearly exemplified by sewage being dumped in our waterways across the country including Langstone Harbour and Southsea. To that end, she believes we must put an end to dumping sewage and must instead focus on enhancing our environmental record through planting trees, improving cycling routes and investing in recycling provisions.

Isabel also hopes to take on the housing crisis in our local area. She supports the improvement of infrastructure and the building of new homes particularly so younger people can get on the housing ladder. She also wishes to bring further investment into local shops to encourage our local economy.

Isabel moved to Portsmouth in 2012 and Purbrook in 2015 after living in Spain and Belgium for 9 years. She was educated at Purbrook Park School.
