Statement to voters

If elected MSP for Glasgow Kelvin and Maryhill, I pledge to work diligently for all my constituents.

Full statement

As I have done in the previous parliamentary session I will seek to advance causes which will help deliver a more socially just and environmentally sustainable Scotland.

In the last parliament I directly campaigned and helped deliver various achievements such as extending new born baby screening for Spinal Muscular Dystrophy (SMA) and securing additional funds for our hospices and palliative care.

In the next parliament, tackling child poverty, delivering more affordable homes, and supporting families with increased childcare will all continue to be key priorities. I also aim to ensure record levels of investment in the NHS to continue to bring down waiting lists and to extend a new network of GP Hubs to make it easier to see a GP.

I want to protect the gains made by our SNP Government such as abolishing prescription charges, offering free university tuition, reducing child poverty (including our Scottish Child Payment), extending free school meals and maintaining extensive support for Scotland's small businesses.

I will continue to champion net zero initiatives which will also help tackle fuel poverty and improve the quality of our housing stock. I will also play my part to help ensure Scotland is a modern, vibrant and diverse society at home and speaks up on the international stage for the rule of law and against the breaking of international law which amongst other things has shamefully led to genocide in Palestine.

Ultimately though only through the full powers of an independent Scotland will we fully see the transformation of Scotland we all wan
