Statement to voters

Low Council Tax and quality front-line Council services are my priorities.

Full statement

I am a Chartered Accountant who has lived with my wife in Solihull Borough for 27 years. I will work with our Conservative Councillors and the local police to bear down on antisocial behaviour, burglary and drug related crime. We will continue to work to reduce inconsiderate parking and speeding. Castle Bromwich still retains parks and green spaces. If elected, I will cherish these and work with community groups to improve the amenity, whilst protecting them from developers. I will promote local businesses and jobs. The improved transport links promised by Conservative Mayor Andy Street are welcome. I will be alert to the risk of additional through traffic or parking problems brought about by the changes. I will encourage schemes for home insulation as well as "levelling up" our community housing. Solihull Council is Conservative-led. It is important to elect Conservative Councillors so that we have strong voices raising our local issues in the Council.
