Statement to voters

Tracey was born in Urmston and has lived in Trafford most of her life.

Full statement

In the autumn of 2021 she set up the Petition “no cones on Chester Road” in a direct response to resident’s frustrations caused by increased congestion and pollution in close proximity to 4 primary schools. At the time of presentation to Trafford Council, it had achieved 2,742 signatures and media coverage. Tracey felt like it was a lonely crusade to be honest through the minefield of Labour opposition yet the Conservatives cared and this experience inspired Tracey to “cross the floor” and stand as an election candidate in a hope to continue to represent residents.

Tracey has a plethora of life and work experiences. Working in the hospitality industry led to joint business’ enterprises in a catering company and cafe in Trafford, whilst simultaneously completing 2 house renovations.

Then, as a single parent to 4 young children she achieved a Bachelor of Social Science 2:1 with Honours at Manchester University, prior to a successful career as a Retail Store Manager with the Cooperative.

Tracey has in recent years, cared for young adults with mental health issues and the elderly, alongside a part time office administration role supporting her husband’s Legal business.

In addition to which, Tracey has actively assisted a local community group to “green the alleyways” securing a £6,000 grant from Groundworks.

Life for Tracey has been a bit of a rollercoaster and she expects that to continue in our current uncertain climate. Tracey sincerely wishes to aid residents in their ups and downs too.
