Statement to voters

We are pleased to announce our candidate for the local elections on May 2nd - Dylan Lewis-Creser! Dylan is a local community activist, working in the area alongside Walkley Greens with local residents to have our voices heard, advocate for our common interests, and make Walkley a greener and fairer place to live.

Full statement

Outside of local activism, Dylan is a General Assembly member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, advocating for sustainable planning practices and to ensure that our housing, transport and nature crises are dealt with nationally.

Dylan said “Walkley, Upperthorpe, Netherthorpe and our other communities are fantastic places to live and work, and deserve councillors who will stand up for justice and fairness on the City Council. Another Labour councillor won’t provide the scrutiny that we so desperately need, and I pledge to be your voice on the City Council.”

Councillor Bernard Little, who is standing down at this election, says “I am pleased that Dylan is standing for the Green Party in Walkley and Upperthorpe. I’d like to thank people in our ward for the honour I've had working for the community over the last three years. Sadly, due to ill health and a road traffic accident, I need to focus on the health of people close to me. I will remain active in the community.”

If you are interested in helping us get the word out about how Dylan can help our ward, or even just putting up a poster in your window, please message us on here and we can help!
